- General Objectives The general objectives of the course are as follows:
- To develop broader knowledge of fundamentals of computer including evolution, classification, I/O devices and architecture.
- To help the students understand functional block diagram of various systems and peripheral.
- To acquaint the students with the information communication technology.
- To familiarize the students with the create Web pages.
- To enable the students run general application packages of the Open Source Office or Microsoft Office (packages like word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools, etc.)
- To provide the students with the knowledge on computer networks.
- Specific Objectives and Contents:
This course is designed for those students who specialize in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It intends to provide ICT education and skills to the students. This course contains Computer Fundamentals, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Application Packages. In the Computer Fundamentals the students will study computer system, memory units, I/O devices, computer network, internet, e-mail, hardware, software etc. Similarly, in the practical part, the students will learn the skills to run operating system, word processing, spread sheet, presentation package, web page designing. Thus, this course will enable the students to gain the knowledge about information and communication in one hand, and to use the knowledge in practice on the other.

4.3.2 during practical time • Try to follow the basic contents of the practical subject one by one in sequence during practical class. • Try to teach practical works step by step, using multimedia and your computer. • Time to time, check each student in the practical class, whether they are following the practical exercises or not.
